I'm Alisha, a UX Designer from Northern Nevada.

I have have completed the Google UX Design certification through Coursera and am eager to contribute to the improvement of your users' experiences through empathy and iteration to create beautiful, user friendly products that achieve both user and company goals. Additionally, I am an active member of the Interaction Design Foundation and continue to take additional certifications to stay up to date on the latest trends and advances in UX Design.

I graduated from UOP in 2019 with a BS in Communications, concentrated in Cultural Communications. This education has provided me with the tools necessary to connect with and empathize with users and colleagues, alike.

I worked as a Learning and Development manager at Walmart e-Commerce when the company purchased Jet.com. Having gone through a rebranding with Walmart while they established their e-Commerce platform as a Learning and Development manager gave me a deep insight into company branding, iconography, typography, and establishing a company's tone and presence as I developed new training materials to align with the Walmart brand.

My background in adult learning has given me a deep understanding of and ability to be empathetic with my audience. While adult learning is not the same process as user experience, both focus on empathizing with the end user, or learner, to create a product or path that establishes ease of usability for the end user with the understanding of possible edge cases and consideration to approach each individuals needs or obstacles.

Additionally, I have a vast background in supply chain analytics and have learned to gather and analyze data with an unbiased approach and extensive iteration to improve the quality and value of the information presented. As an analyst it has been engrained into me to create visually appealing and easy to understand information, and not only to provide the information, but bring solutions to the table based on the proven data.
